The Theology on Tap speaker series continues on June 12 with Msgr. Daniel Mueggenborg, pastor of Christ the King Parish, leading a discussion on Catholic versus Protestant interpretation of sacred Scripture. Held in the relaxed atmosphere of McNellie’s Irish Pub, 409 E. First St. in Tulsa. The evening begins with a social hour at 7 p.m., with the lecture and discus-sion at 8 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Catholic Young Adults, meets the second Tuesday of the month through October. All preparing for marriage in the dio-cese are required to attend a Pre-Cana Program . These classes are the founda-tion of understanding what Christian mar-riage is and how to live it. Plan to enroll in the marriage preparation program at least four to six months before your wedding date. Two sessions are scheduled this month on Saturday, June 2 and Saturday, June 23. He and fellow seminarian Deacon Seán Donovan hope to be ordained into the priesthood on June 30 at Holy Family Cathedral. Two Tulsa men, Deacon John Grant and Deacon Seán Donovan, both hope to be ordained to the priesthood this month. Following tradition in the diocese, a pre-ordination Holy Hour of interces-sory prayer for their upcoming ministries will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 29, followed by their Ordination Mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 30. Both services will be at the Cathedral. Deacon Grant plans to celebrate his first Mass at his home parish, St. Francis of Xavier, 2434 E. Admiral Blvd. in Tulsa, at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 1.
